Following the course, attendees will be able to describe the risk factors for HCV infection to enable screening and effective prevention actions, be able to perform and interpret the results of diagnostic tests for HCV infection and recognise the risk factors, clinical signs, symptoms and complications of liver disease.

Attendees can also expect to demonstrate a good understanding of HCV DAA treatments and be able to choose the appropriate treatment, and describe the recommendations for monitoring a patient during treatment as well as the post-treatment monitoring procedures.

“The new virtual French workshop will build on the success of the German workshops held at the end of 2020,” says INHSU Program Manager Nikitah Habraken. “The German events marked our first-ever virtual workshops and were hugely successful welcoming over 40 attendees. We’re looking forward to replicating this success in France and continuing our valued education program in this new format.”

This education is delivered in partnership with the Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM), and is endorsed by Fédération Addiction and Fédération Française d’Addictologie.
